Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 3–4 tablespoons butter
- 1–2 teaspoons kosher salt, to taste
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional but recommended)
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
- 1–2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Pinch of salt

Directions
- Preheat your griddle to low–medium heat.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter on the griddle. Add the diced apples and spread them out evenly.
- Season the apples with 1–2 teaspoons of kosher salt. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened but not mushy.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the apples and stir. Cook until the sugar melts and combines with the apple juices to create a caramel-like sauce.
- Add cinnamon, if using, and stir to combine. Add an additional tablespoon of butter if needed.
- Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce, mix well, then remove the apples from the griddle and set aside.
- Melt the remaining butter on the griddle. Add the oats, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Stir and toast until golden brown and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
- Spoon the apple mixture into small dessert cups or over graham crackers.
Top with the toasted oat crumble and finish with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce. Serve warm.
