2 tbsp water
Cut broccoli into bite size pieces. Trim the tough layer of broccoli stem then slice the stem into bite sized pieces. Set aside.
Trim off any excess fat from the chicken then slice chicken into ¼ inch strips. Place all the chicken into a bowl. Marinade the chicken with dark soy sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, and baking soda. Mix well and marinade for 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine water (or chicken broth), soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and chicken bouillon. Mix well and set aside.
Heat Blackstone Griddle on medium high heat along with a couple tablespoons of cooking oil. Cook marinated chicken by evenly spreading out the chicken to get a nice golden brown crust on each side, about 3-4 mins on each side. Set chicken off to the side and set heat on low.
On the opposite side, the heat should still be on medium high heat. Carefully add the broccoli, a splash of water and cover with a cooking dome to steam for 2 minutes.
Uncover the broccoli and mix with the chicken. Pour all of the sauce and cornstarch slurry and immediately mix well. The sauce will thicken. Cook for 1 more minute and ensure everything is evenly coated. Serve over rice and enjoy!
