Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef, formed into 4 (4-ounce) balls
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 jalapenos, thinly sliced
- 1 cup whipped cream cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Barbecue sauce, to serve
- Vegetable oil, for the griddle
Directions
- Preheat Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Drizzle vegetable oil then throw down the sliced jalapenos. Cook for 5 minutes while stirring with spatulas. Remove from the griddle and set aside.
- Place the 4 ground beef portions directly onto the griddle. Top each one with a piece of parchment paper and then smash until very thin. Remove the parchment paper and then season the burgers with salt and pepper.
- Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes. Evenly spread the cream cheese and griddled jalapenos over the top of each patty. Toast the burger buns on the griddle top. While the buns are toasting, cover the burgers with a basting dome for 1 minute or until the cream cheese is melted. Remove both buns and patties from the griddle.
- Build the burgers by spreading barbecue sauce onto the toasted hamburger buns, adding the patties, and topping evenly with fried onions. Serve immediately.
