Ingredients
- 3 cans jackfruit, drained, rinsed, and shredded
- ½ white onion, diced
- Blackstone Outlaw BBQ seasoning, to taste
- 1 cup mustard
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Blackstone Essential Blend Seasoning, to taste
- 1 tsp hot sauce (e.g., Cackalacky® Pepper Sauce)
Directions
In a small pot, combine mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Blackstone Essential Blend Seasoning, and hot sauce. Place the pot on a griddle set to low heat. Simmer for 20 minutes, whisking occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
On the opposite side of the griddle, set to medium heat, add 1-2 tbsp of oil. Add the diced onion and shredded jackfruit. Sauté for 10 minutes, or until the jackfruit has crispy edges. Ladle the BBQ sauce over the jackfruit and mix to combine.
Serve the BBQ jackfruit mixture on toasted buns and top with prepared coleslaw.
