Serves 3-4 Time: 2 hours 30 minutes Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pound flat iron steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Add all marinade ingredients to a gallon-sized resealable bag. Seal the bag and mix well.
  2. Add steak to the bag, seal the bag closed, and knead until steak is completely coated.
  3. Place bag in the fridge and allow steak to marinate for at least 2 hours (or up to 8 hours).
  4. Heat your griddle to high heat and coat with a thin layer of olive oil or butter.
  5. Remove steak from marinade and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Cook steaks on the hot griddle to desired doneness (internal temperature of 130-135 degrees for medium-rare).
