New York Style Pizza Dough (Cold Rise)
Makes 3 pizzas Time: 14 hours Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 4 cups bread flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- ½ teaspoon instant dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl or upright mixer, combine water, flour, yeast, and salt. Don’t add the oil yet, the flour will need to hydrate first before adding the oil.
- Mix the dough until most of the flour is incorporated. Add the olive oil and knead dough for 10 minutes.
- Cover dough and let rise for 45 minutes. Divide the dough into 3 pieces and form into balls. Wipe the dough balls with oil or cooking spray.
- Place the dough balls in airtight containers and place in fridge for 12-24 hours. Dough can be stored up to 5 days.
- Remove from fridge and let come to room temperature before using.
