New York Style Pizza Dough (Cold Rise)

Makes 3 pizzas Time: 14 hours Difficulty: Easy


  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • ½ teaspoon instant dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil


  1. In a large mixing bowl or upright mixer, combine water, flour, yeast, and salt. Don’t add the oil yet, the flour will need to hydrate first before adding the oil.
  2. Mix the dough until most of the flour is incorporated. Add the olive oil and knead dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Cover dough and let rise for 45 minutes. Divide the dough into 3 pieces and form into balls. Wipe the dough balls with oil or cooking spray.
  4. Place the dough balls in airtight containers and place in fridge for 12-24 hours. Dough can be stored up to 5 days.
  5. Remove from fridge and let come to room temperature before using.
