Recipe by Todd Toven
Serves 2-4
Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
For the Cheese Sauce:
- 15 oz. Cheez Whiz dip
- 1 cup raw sauerkraut
- 3/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
- Blackstone Essential Blend seasoning or salt, pepper, and garlic
Cheesesteak Ingredients:
- 24 oz. raw ribeye, thinly shaved
- Cooking oil (for griddle)
- Unsliced 18-24" Italian roll, or several smaller ones if preferred
- Blackstone Essential Blend seasoning or salt, pepper, and garlic
Directions
- Put a cast iron skillet on a Blackstone griddle on medium-high heat.
- Pour Cheez Whiz, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing into the hot skillet. Sprinkle Blackstone Essential Blend on top. Stir for about 5 minutes while cooking.
- Drizzle and spread cooking oil onto the griddle and place ribeye pieces onto the griddle. Season with Blackstone Essential Blend or garlic, salt, and pepper, and cook it up!
- Partially cut roll(s) and lay on top of the ribeye slices on the griddle to allow steam for 1-2 minutes. Set roll(s) aside on the griddle once warmed.
- Drizzle some of the cheese mixture onto the meat, put all of the meat on the roll and remove from the griddle. Pour the remaining cheese mix onto the roll.
- Enjoy!
