Ingredients
Ingredients
- One 5-6 Oz. of Ahi Tuna Steak, sushi grade
- 3 Tablespoons of Ponzu Sauce
- 1/4 Cup of Toasted Sesame Seeds (or enough to coat filet completely)
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons of Sesame Oil
Steps
-
Marinate ahi tuna in ponzu sauce for 30 minutes in refrigerator, turning fish over every 5 minutes.
-
Preheat Blackstone to High Heat.
-
Fill a small dish with sesame seeds and coat the tuna steak on all sides with sesame seeds.
-
Add 1 tbsp sesame oil to preheated griddle and quickly place tuna in the oil to sear 1-1.5 minutes, depending, for rare.
-
Add 1 tbsp sesame oil to griddle, flipping tuna into oil and sear 1-1.5 minutes.
-
Using tongs, sear edges for 20-30 seconds all around the steak in remaining 1/2 tbsp sesame oil.
-
Remove tuna and place on the Blackstone cutting board and slice into thin strips.
