Sloppy Jimmy

Directions

1. Preheat your Blackstone to medium-high heat.

2. Dice the onion and bell pepper, then lightly crush the garlic cloves.

3. Add the oil to the griddle, followed by the minced beef. Break the beef into small crumbles and season with the salt. Cook until browned.

4. Add the diced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and beginning to caramelize.

5. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant.

6. Add the chopped tomatoes, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard. Stir well to combine.

7. Reduce the heat to low. Add a splash of water if the mixture becomes too thick, then simmer for 5–10 minutes until rich and saucy. The Blackstone will retain plenty of heat, so you can even turn the burners off and let the residual heat finish bringing the flavors together.

8. Stir in the black pepper and adjust the seasoning to taste.

9. Spoon the sloppy beef mixture generously onto toasted burger buns and serve immediately.
