Directions
Start by preheating your saucepan on the griddle on high.
Add butter, sugar, preserves, and fruit. Allow to come to a boil for about 2 minutes.
Allow compote sauce to set aside and cool.
With your griddle on low, melt down 1 tbsp of butter and place cakes down. Make sure you pay close attention so they do not burn flipping only once toasting on each side.
On a plate, add slices of pound cake, and top with berry compote. Add your optional whip cream, cool whip, or ice cream, and enjoy!
