Do I have to use the insulating jacket?
If any part of the cabinet or structure you have selected for use with your griddle is made from combustible materials (wood, plastic, etc.) your griddle MUST be used with the Blackstone insulating jacket. For your safety the insulating jacket must be permanently secured to your cabinet or structure. Please note, even with the use of an insulating jacket, any vertical combustible construction (walls, backsplash, etc.) must be 6 inches away from the appliance.
What size propane tank do I use?
This griddle is designed to use a 20-pound propane tank.
Do I need a vent hood?
If installed under overhead combustible construction, the griddle must be installed in conjunction with a suitable Ul710 or UlC S646 approved heavy duty vent hood only.
How far away does the griddle need to be from combustible material?
At least 6” distance from the sides and back of the appliance to vertical combustible construction (36” if the jacket is not used).
Can I put the griddle in a sheltered outdoor area?
All openings must be permanently open; sliding doors, garage doors, windows or screened openings are not considered permanent openings.
Can I convert to Natural Gas?
No. Our propane drop-in units are not designed to be converted to Natural Gas. We offer natural gas-ready griddle units on our website.
What cover works with this griddle?
SKU 5957 is designed to work with the 28" Drop-in Griddle.
Do you offer extended warranties?
Your unit comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty for replacement parts. If you would like to purchase an extended warranty at any point during that first year, please contact us and be sure to register that unit to activate your manufacture's warranty.
