If any part of the cabinet or structure you have selected for use with your griddle is made from combustible materials (wood, plastic, etc.) your griddle MUST be used with the Blackstone insulating jacket. For your safety the insulating jacket must be permanently secured to your cabinet or structure. Please note, even with the use of an insulating jacket, any vertical combustible construction (walls, backsplash, etc.) must be 6 inches away from the appliance. 

Please note we do have installation jackets that are sold separately, SKU 6430 and SKU 6228. The dimensions of these jackets are different then the dimensions of the griddle & jacket combos.  

If installed under overhead combustible construction, the griddle must be installed in conjunction with a suitable Ul710 or UlC S646 approved heavy duty vent hood only. 

At least 6” distance from the sides and back of the appliance to vertical combustible construction (36” if the jacket is not used).  

All openings must be permanently open; sliding doors, garage doors, windows or screened openings are not considered permanent openings.  

An appliance is outdoors if installed with shelter, no more inclusive than below. 

Unfortunately, we don’t any covers currently available for drop in griddles. Our design team is aware of a need for these covers, and hopefully, we will have some available soon.  

Your unit comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty for replacement parts. If you would like to purchase an extended warranty at any point during that first year, please contact us and be sure to register that unit to activate your manufacture's warranty. These units are more efficient and use much less gas than even a traditional griddle. Because of this, the flame itself is quite small and should heat normally. However, if you have a temperature or heat issue, then please review the gas connection by

Our griddles are made to run off of a standard 15-20lb tank via our hose and regulator, which will regulate the gas flow to 0.5 psi. If you are using natural gas, you can use our RP 5249 Natural Gas conversion kit, exclusively sold on our website.
