Better Cheddar Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken
  • Thick cut Bacon
  • Block of Cheddar Cheese(shredded)
  • Pretzel Buns
  • 1/4 cup Blackstone Tangy Carolina Sear and serve
  • 1-2 tbsp Dukes Mayo
  • 1-2 tbsp Sweet Relish
  • 1 tbsp Frank’s Hot sauce (or other hot sauce)
  • Blackstone Bootleg Burger Seasoning
  • Kosher Salt
  • Course Black pepper
  • Romaine Lettuce Chopped
  • 1 Tomato Sliced
  • Sliced Pickles

Directions:

  1. Pre heat one zone of your Blackstone to Medium heat and cook bacon. Flip occasionally and remove when done to drain on paper towels and set aside. DO NOT remove the bacon fat. You’re gonna use that to cook your chicken patties.
  2. While the bacon is cooking in a large mixing bowl add your ground chicken, and about 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, two pinches of kosher salt and black pepper and a pinch of Blackstone Whiskey Burger seasoning. Mix well to incorporate the cheese and seasoning. Using gloves you can grab about 4-5 ounces of your chicken mixture and roll into balls and set aside.
  3. Your bacon should be done at this point so it’s time to to make our chicken patties. Using a piece of parchment paper and a Blackstone burger press or spatula, place the chicken ball on the griddle cover with the parchment paper and press. Don’t press to thin, these aren’t smash burgers. You want them thicker than a smash burger. After about 3 minutes, or until you see anime crust developing, flip the chicken patty and top with some cheddar cheese. While those are cooking grab your pretzel buns and get a light toast on the Blackstone next to the patties.
  4. While that all cooks, quickly chop your romaine lettuce, slice your tomatoes and set aside. Also it’s time to make our sauce. In a small bowl add about 1/4 cup of Blackstone’s Tangy Carolina Sear and Serve, 1-2 tbsp of Dukes mayo, 1-2 tbsp of sweet relish, a pinch of black pepper and pinch of Bootleg Burger seasoning and stir well.
  5. Now let’s build. On the bottom bun add some of your special sauce topped with shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato, top that with a chicken patty followed by a few pickles, some bacon and another drizzle of your special sauce and crown with the top bun. Simple and Delicious!
