For the Burger:
Directions
Make the chili by browning the ground chuck in a pan and then draining the excess fat.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, ketchup, Knorr beef powder, salt, and pepper to the browned ground chuck. Stir well to combine. If the chili is too thick, you can thin it out with some water.
Prepare the slaw by chopping the cabbage into small dice. In a bowl, mix the chopped cabbage with mayo, a pinch of sugar, salt, pepper, and apple cider vinegar. Adjust the amount of vinegar to your taste preference.
Form the ground chuck into burger patties, each weighing about 5.6-6 oz. Season the patties with your favorite essential blend.
Preheat a griddle to medium to medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the griddle and cook them until they develop a nice sear and reach your desired level of doneness.
Once the burgers are cooked, add a slice of American cheese on top of each patty and place them on the bottom buns.
Top the burgers with the prepared chili, slaw, mustard, and chopped onions.
Assemble the burger with the top bun and enjoy your delicious Carolina Classic Burger!
