Ingredients
- 4 Oz. of Tequila
- 4 Oz. of Triple Sec
- 12 Limes, Cut in Half
- 4 Oz. of Simple Syrup (Equal parts sugar and water)
- Sprite OR Lime Soda
Steps
-
Set your griddle to high heat. Slice 12 limes in half and dry off with a paper towel. On one side of your griddle, add a very thin layer of vegetable oil and place the limes cut side down and cook for 5 - 6 minutes, or until the limes are caramelized and golden.
-
In a plastic container add equal parts water and sugar to make your simple syrup. Seal the container and shake until sugar is dissolved.
-
To make your cocktail, in a cocktail shaker add ice, 4 - 5 griddled limes squeezed, 2 ounces of tequila, 2 ounces of triple sec, 2 ounces of simple syrup and shake well. In a margarita glass rub the rim with a lime wedge and salt the rim. Then add ice and pour your cocktail ingredients over the ice. Add a splash of lime soda and garnish with a lime wedge.
