Margherita Grilled Cheese



  • 8 Slices of Sourdough Bread
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • 8-12 Tomato Slices
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Garlic Pepper Seasoning
  • Olive Oil


  1. Put two pieces of bread on your work surface.

  2. On one piece of bread layer cheese, tomato slices, basil, then cheese again.

  3. Sprinkle with garlic pepper and top with other piece of bread.

  4. Brush the outside of bread with olive oil (could also use butter). Put a little olive oil on the griddle as well. The Olive oil will give you an even crispier crust on the outside of the bread.

  5. Turn your griddle on medium low heat and toast each side of your sandwich until golden brown.
