1 tsp. ginger (grated)
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. dry sherry
½ tbsp. soy sauce
½ tbsp. dark soy sauce
¼ tsp. ground white pepper
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
½ tbsp. dark soy sauce
½ tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sesame oil
½ tsp. white pepper
4 tbsp. oil (divided for cooking)
In a medium bowl, combine the soaked soy curls with the cornstarch, dry sherry, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and ground white pepper. Set aside for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together the oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, sugar, vegetarian chicken bouillon cube, sesame oil, and white pepper. Set aside.
Preheat one side of a Blackstone griddle to high heat (the cooking will be quick!). Add 2 tbsp of oil and sauté the soy curls until they are golden. Once done, transfer them to the cooler side of the griddle (off heat).
Add an additional 2 tbsp of oil to the hot side of the griddle. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, being careful not to burn them. Then, add the sliced onion and sauté for about 1 minute.
Return the soy curls to the griddle, drizzle the sauce over the mixture, and sauté for about 2 minutes until everything is well combined. Toss in the green onions and remove from heat.
Serve the dish with steamed rice and enjoy!
