White pizza sauce is a simple and creamy sauce made from parmesan, milk, and garlic. This delicate sauce is the perfect pairing for chicken, vegetables, and cheese pizzas.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups whole milk
3 ounces grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Add the butter and garlic to a medium saucepot. Cook on medium heat until the butter is melted and the garlic is lightly toasted and very fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour into the pot and stir with a wooden spoon until a paste is formed at the bottom of the pot. This paste is the roux that will thicken the sauce.
Pour the milk over the roux then whisk until completely mixed. The sauce will thicken and come back to a boil. Remove from heat then stir in the grated parmesan. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Let cool before using.
