Makes 1 quart of syrup Time: 15 minutes Difficulty: Easy
- 3 cups white sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Set a large pot over medium heat. Add all ingredients and whisk until fully mixed.
- Bring to a boil, cook for 3 minutes stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat. Serve warm with buttermilk pancakes, French toast, or waffles.
