3 ounces basil leaves, rinsed
¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons pine nuts, crushed
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 lemon, juiced
2 cloves garlic
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 pinch chili flakes
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend until completely smooth. Taste and adjust for salt if necessary.
This sauce can be kept refrigerated for 1 week.
